Alejandro Gonzalez. I build Ventaja FC.

Software engineer in Miami. I build real-time products end to end — and I make sure the numbers they show are honest.

Football first, then technology.

I grew up in Cuba watching football. It was the first thing I fell in love with, long before I knew what I wanted to do with my life.

I moved to the United States when I was fifteen, and that's where I found the second thing: technology. I learned to build, studied computer science at Florida International University, and graduated in 2026.

Ventaja FC is where the two meet. I wanted to build something genuinely useful, and the most useful thing I could imagine was the tool I had always wanted as a fan — fast, honest football data, in both my languages, that respects the people using it. So I built it: for myself first, and then for every fan like me.

I like owning things end to end. With Ventaja that means every layer — the data pipeline that turns a raw sports feed into something trustworthy, the API, the website, the iPhone app and the servers that keep it all running — designed, built and run by me. Alongside it I build websites and software for businesses with Aedon Agency, which keeps me close to what people actually need from software.

I'm bilingual in English and Spanish, and I build for both from the start rather than translating afterwards. Football is the world's game and most of its fans don't speak English first; Ventaja is written for them as much as for anyone.

Right now I'm growing Ventaja FC and building its next features, and I'm open to software and AI engineering roles where I can do this kind of work — real-time systems, products people use every day — at a larger scale.

A system should stay right when its data is late, incomplete or wrong.

Because in the real world it often is. The second rule is honesty about what the numbers say: I measure what I ship and say what the measurements show.

  • A frozen feed doesn't freeze the score

When the provider's live statistics stall mid-match, goals, cards and substitutions are rebuilt from the match timeline instead.

  • A missing table gets calculated

The provider doesn't publish Argentina's annual table, so Ventaja works it out from both halves of the season — and it matches the official one.

  • Every prediction gets graded

Each one is checked against the final result, so the model's record is measured, not claimed.

Football in real time, in both languages.

Live scores, standings, squads, players and match predictions across 60+ competitions — 15 countries plus the big international and continental cups — in English and Spanish.

01

Live scores

Goals, cards, substitutions and lineups as they happen, wherever the league publishes them.

02

Fixtures & results

What's coming up and what just finished, in your own time zone.

03

Standings

Tables that move with the match, knockout brackets, and Argentina's annual table, which Ventaja calculates itself.

04

Stats

Leaders in goals, assists, ratings and cards, one tap from each table.

05

Teams

Squads for 360 clubs in 15 countries, with every player's season numbers. Star a club to keep it at the top of the app.

06

Players

Search any covered player for a page with season numbers, per-90 rates, and saves, tackles and interceptions for keepers and defenders. Put two side by side for a plain-words verdict on who is having the better season.

07

Build a lineup

Twelve formations, any covered player, dragged into place — and saved on your device.

08

Predictions

Win, draw and loss chances, both teams to score, totals and expected goals for priced matches in the next 48 hours and for matches in play. Free, 18+.

09

Match research

A plain-language briefing before kickoff: form, head-to-head, team news, what the betting market thinks, and what to expect.

10

Match alerts

Follow a match from your phone for a nudge before kickoff, every goal and the final whistle.

11

Calendar sync

Your teams' fixtures in the calendar you already use, with a reminder an hour before kickoff.

12

English & Spanish

The whole app in both languages, written for each rather than translated from one. It installs like an app on any phone.

Built, in testing, or still earning its place.

New features reach the iPhone app first and the website after they have been tested there.

In the app and on the web

Ventaja Chat

Ask about a match in plain words, typed (or spoken, in the iPhone app) — "who scored in the Barcelona game?" — and get an answer built from Ventaja's own match data. AI words the reply. Answers can be wrong.

Built · in testing

iPhone app

The whole app as a native iPhone app, with the live score, match minute and win probability of a followed match on the Lock Screen. It is not on the App Store yet: signing, push alerts and submission are what's left.

Built · October 2026

Prediction detail

When rest, fixture congestion, missing players or results running ahead of xG move a pre-match prediction, it now says so under “Adjusted for”. Every prediction is still graded against the final result and the bookmakers' line.
