Software engineer · Founder, Ventaja FC · Miami

I build real-time products end to end — and I make sure the numbers they show are honest.

Born in Cuba, raised on football, based in Miami. Computer Science graduate from Florida International University and founder of Ventaja FC — a real-time football platform I designed, built and run.

About

Who I am

I grew up in Cuba watching football. It was the first thing I fell in love with, long before I knew what I wanted to do with my life.

I moved to the United States when I was fifteen, and that's where I found the second thing: technology. I learned to build, studied computer science at Florida International University, and graduated in 2026.

Ventaja FC is where the two meet. Once my studies were done I wanted to build something genuinely useful, and the most useful thing I could imagine was the tool I had always wanted as a fan — fast, honest football data, in both my languages, that respects the people using it. So I built it: for myself first, and then for every fan like me.

I like owning things end to end. With Ventaja that meant every layer — the data pipeline that turns a raw sports feed into something trustworthy, the API, the web app, the iOS app, and the infrastructure that keeps it all running — designed, built and operated by me. Alongside it I build websites for small businesses, which keeps me close to what people actually need from software.

Two things matter most to me in the work. The first is correctness under bad inputs — a system should stay right when the data it depends on is late, incomplete, or simply wrong, because in the real world it often is. The second is honesty about what the numbers say. Ventaja publishes its full prediction record because a track record nobody can check is worth nothing. If a feature can't prove it works, I don't ship it.

A system should stay right when the data it depends on is late, incomplete, or wrong — because in the real world it often is.

I'm bilingual in English and Spanish, and I build for both from the start rather than translating afterwards. Football is the world's game and most of its fans don't speak English first; Ventaja is written for them as much as for anyone.

Right now I'm growing Ventaja FC and building its next features, and I'm open to software and AI engineering roles where I can do this kind of work — real-time systems, products people use every day — at a larger scale.

A real-time terminal for football

Ventaja FC is a real-time football platform: live scores, fixtures and results, standings, team pages, statistics and match predictions across 74 competitions, in English and Spanish. It is built for fans who want the information fast, in one place, and want the numbers to be honest.

The name means advantage. The idea is simple: most football apps are slow, cluttered, or English-only, and most prediction services publish a win rate nobody can verify. Ventaja is fast, clean, bilingual by design, and every prediction it makes is graded against the final result and published — the full record, not the highlights.

It runs today as a website that installs like an app on any phone, with a native iOS app built and on its way to the App Store, and an assistant that answers questions about matches in plain language coming next.

What's in it today

Live scores
Goals, cards, substitutions and lineups as they happen, across every competition covered.
Fixtures & results
What's coming up and what just finished, with probabilities on every upcoming match.
Standings
League tables that move with the match — a goal is reflected in the table while the game is still on.
Team pages
Squad, season record and recent form for every club, with a follow button for alerts.
Statistics
Top scorers, assists and cards for every competition, kept current through the match.
Predictions
Win, draw and loss probabilities, both teams to score, totals and expected goals for every upcoming match.
Public accuracy record
Every prediction graded against the result and published, with a breakdown by confidence level.
Match alerts
Notifications for the teams you follow — kick-off, goals, full time.
Calendar sync
A team's fixtures in your own calendar, kept up to date automatically.
English & Spanish
The whole app in both languages, written for each rather than translated from one.
Installs like an app
Add it to your home screen on any phone; it opens and updates like a native app.
Dark & light
A dark, terminal-style interface by default, with a full light mode.
